The local Adult Disability Support Society requested tax relief on property used for non-profit residential housing. Last year Council approved a 1 year exemption from the municipal portion of the taxes. I am wondering if other municipality have provided tax relief for these types of organization and if they have a policy in place, could I receive a copy to provide Council with some guidance.
