Guided Rafting Tour of the Bow River

LGAA is pleased to partner with Canmore Raft Tours to offer a guided scenic raft tour as one of our pre-conference activities the day before our 2023 Conference & Trade Show. Conference delegates will receive a 15% discount off "The Townie" tour, which involves flat moving water with expansive scenery of the Canadian Rockies and the chance to see local wildlife.

How will it work?
  1. Register using the instructions and discount code below.
  2. On June 26, make your way down to the Canmore Public Boat Launch and plan to arrive by 3:45 p.m. The boat launch is a 25-minute walk from the Coast Canmore Hotel or there is public parking at the site.
  3. Representatives of Canmore Raft Tours will take you on the tour.
  4. Afterwards, Canmore Raft Tours will bus you back to the boat launch, arriving around 5:30 p.m.
Who can register?

This opportunity is available to LGAA Conference delegates and their spouse/partner or family members.

How do I register?
  1. Use this link to go to the Canmore Raft Tours site.
  2. Click "Book now".
  3. Select June 26, 2023 as the date and click "Book now".
  4. Select the 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. timeslot.
  5. Enter the number of persons you are booking for.
  6. At the bottom of the box, click on "Apply Promo or Voucher".
  7. Enter LGAA23 to receive the 15% discount. Click "Apply".
  8. Click continue and then you will see the discount applied to your cost.
  9. Enter your details and follow the directions to pay.

The 15% discount only applies to the 4:00 p.m. timeslot of the The Townie tour on June 26. This offer will expire on June 1, 2023. There is a limited number of spots available so secure your seat soon.

What if the weather is poor?

The tour runs rain or shine so please dress accordingly and flat-soled shoes are recommended.

Timing conflicts with other pre-conference activities

Note that if you plan to participate in LGAA's golf tournament on the same day, you will likely need to leave early from the post-tournament prize ceremony in order to arrive on-time for the rafting tour.
