2026 Golf Tournament & Networking Event (16 Jun 2026)

LGAA is pleased to invite members, municipal government employees, and organizations to participate in our 2025 Golf Tournament at the beautiful Silvertip Resort in the mountains of Canmore, Alberta.

This is the 4th year that we have added this pre-conference activity the day before our Conference & Trade Show.

Cost

$180.00 + GST Members

$180.00 + GST Tournament Sponsors

$230.00 + GST Non-Members

Cost includes:

18-hole round of golf
Power cart (shared)
Access to the driving range and putting facilities
Sponsored free meal on hole 10
Free food after the round
Chance to win prizes, and
Numerous opportunities to network with other administrators and vendors

Format

Shot-gun tee-off at 9:30 a.m. using a scramble format (often referred to as "best ball") where players tee off and then hit from the best shot of their team and repeat this process until each hole is complete.

Team Selection

Players will have the option to request to play with a colleague they know or be matched up in teams where they can meet new people.

Not a regular golfer?

That's okay! Whether you shoot 70 or 200, we invite all levels of golfers to participate. The scramble format (aka ‘best ball’) lets you hit from your teammates’ best position each time. This is great for new players as it lessens your discomfort and let’s you focus on what matters – networking with your teammates and sponsored vendors at each hole. Plus, there is no incentive for your team to shoot the lowest score because prizes will be awarded based on fun merits and random draws.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation requests received by June 1, 2026 will receive a full refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after June 1 are not eligible for a refund. Cancellations requests must be submitted in writing to info@lgaa.ab.ca.

TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION

If you are unable to attend the event and wish to transfer your registration to another individual, you may do so by emailing info@lgaa.ab.ca. Requests for transfer will be accepted until June 1, 2026.

Your personal information is collected for the purposes of processing your registration. This information is maintained in a confidential and secure manner and is not sold or shared with other organizations.
