The proposed new facility will incorporate multiple recreational facilities under one roof. These facilities include a community hall, outdoor swimming pool, hockey/agricultural/rodeo arena. These facilities are owned by the Town and were once stand alone facilities operated via an operating agreement by individual societies. Do other municipalities have a governance model to facilitate the operation of a multi-use facility under these circumstances? Please forward me any information ie. Committee Terms of Reference, Policies, Procedures, etc. that would facilitate the operation of a multi-use facility owned by the municipality and operated by multiple non-profit organizations. Has your community been innovative and put the administration into a multi use type building. If you would be so kind to advise the other uses that would be most appreciated. Gravel Haulers: September 29, 2009 Are there any municipalities dealing with TILMA with regard to gravel haulers? Damage from Mowers Land Use Bylaw Issues for Municipalities without Bylaw Enforcement: August 7, 2009 Designated Officer Bylaw: July 25, 2009 Tax Discounts for Seniors: June 2, 2009 The Town of Penhold is looking for any Municipality that gives tax discounts to seniors. If so, we would greatly appreciate further information on how this is done in your community. Thank you. Cat Bylaw: 3-20-09 The Village of Barons is looking at similar sized communities to see if other small centres have a cat bylaw. One of the issues is the enforcement of said bylaw.
Does any municipality under 500 have a cat bylaw? If so, is it effective? What resources are used - i.e. Specific village position (such as bylaw enforcement, village employee)? What is done with the animals once caught - is there a special arrangement with a vet? Drug & Alcohol Abuse Policy: 3-12-09 The Town of Pincher Creek is preparing a policy on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. Do any municipalities have such a policy currently in use? If so, we would appreciate receiving a copy. Thank you Home Renovations: 3-12-09 Does anyone have a bylaw that forces property owners to complete renovations on the outside of a building. We have 2 houses in town that were started with renovation and now sit empty or with a absentee landlord. Both need to be finished on the outside, does anyone have a bylaw?
