Over the past year, LGAA's Board undertook a review of the Association's Bylaws and will be asking members to adopt a new set of Bylaws at the 2021 annual general meeting. The purpose of the changes is to add clarity and better align LGAA's legislative structure with the Board's strategic goals for the organization. The changes apply to issues such as:

  • Membership classes and eligibility
  • Term of the President and Vice President positions
  • Election process for Zone Directors
  • Quorum at general meetings, and
  • Various other procedural issues.

Members will receive a copy of the proposed Bylaws by May 14, 2021. The purpose of this engagement is to provide an opportunity for members to learn about the intent behind the changes, ask questions, and provide input in advance of the annual general meeting.

This meeting is only available to members of LGAA. Information about membership is available at www.lgaa.ab.ca/membership.
